ARTIST & TEACHER

Lucy Farrant is an artist and Art Teacher with an MA and BA in Textile Art as well as a PGCE. After teaching Art for 9 years in secondary schools in the UK and Australia she now works from her studio in Alfriston. She loves to encourage all students to be imaginative, experimental and free in their approach to creativity so that they feel confident to work in their own individual style. Art is a great way to build confidence and can be very empowering for young people. Lucy is DBS certified.

STUDIO

Bakehouse Arts is situated in an idyllic, rural spot nestled into the Cuckmere Valley on the outskirts of Alfriston, East Sussex. It is a well-equipped, working studio offering creative, stimulating and fun art classes for children, adults and teens, using a wide range of techniques and materials. The studio is found at the end of a track that opens into a beautiful, wild setting. The grounds are part of the South Downs National Park.
